Qin dynasty religion/belief systems

    Religion/Belief systems

There was a Chinese philosophy that followed strict compliance to a rule of law. This belief allowed Qin to rule the population from a centralized power structure and proved a very effective way to govern. Qin created a uniform written language, allowing for greater communication. The script allowed scholars to share information to a greater number of people. A single language allowed the later dynasties to communicate with nomadic tribes and pass along information on how to negotiate or fight with them.
One of the main religions in ancient china during the Qin dynasty was Taoism. Taoist ceremonies were held for worship and religious purposes. In Taoism people believe in opposites like there would be no love without hate. Taoism became one of the three great religions in china.
Taoism gained its popularity during the Jin dynasty which was before the Han and Qin dynasty. During the Qin dynasty legalism was a very big belief especially for emperor Qin and he was very strict about it. In Legalism Emperor Qin would quarter people if they made suggestions about how he was running the empire. His punishments were harsh. You would be sentenced to death if you knew what Emperor Qin was doing because he didn’t want anyone to know what he was doing.
